Launch of राष्ट्रीय e-पुस्तकालय (Rashtriya e-Pustakalaya) Mobile application

 Dear Students, Greetings! I am pleased to inform you that the, Ministry of Education, has launched राष्ट्रीय e-पुस्तकालय (Rashtriya e-Pustakalaya), a National Digital Library for youth on the 10th of February 2024. राष्ट्रीय e-पुस्तकालय (Rashtriya e-Pustakalaya) is a pioneering initiative, offering a digital library that serves as a national repository of knowledge and stories, specifically curated for children and adolescents. By providing seamless access to such online content, the aim is not only to develop a habit of reading and instill a sense of pride and curiosity among young Indians regarding their heritage and achievements but also to act as a knowledge hub for the younger generations. 

This digital library facilitates availability of quality books across geographies, languages, genres and levels, and enables device agnostic accessibility. 

The Digital Library consists of non-academic books for children and adolescents categorized in four age groups i.e., 3-8, 8-11, 11-14, and 14-18 years respectively. The books cover different genres for children and adolescents like fiction, non-fiction, biographies, poetry, classics, comics, novels, etc. 

The repository of books in राष्ट्रीय e-पुस्तकालय (Rashtriya e-Pustakalaya) focuses on history, culture, scientific achievements, and other significant facets of India. An App has been developed for the initiative, which currently hosts over 1000 books sourced from 46 publishers, encompassing in 23 languages, and spanning across 13 genres.

Dear, 

Your attention is invited to the above circular on PARIKSHA PE CHARCHA 2023. As you all are aware, this is an annual festival where the honourable Prime Minister of India interact with the Students, Teachers and Parents who are selected through participation in creative writing competition.  This is an online competition where all students of classes 9 to 12, their parents and teachers can participate. In this connection,  you are requested  to 

1. Disseminate this circular and information to all the parents, teachers and students of classes 9 to 12.

2. Encourage all of them to register in mygov.in portal at the link http://innovateindia.mygov.in/ppc-2023/ and participate in the creative writing competition.

3.Keep banners in prominent places in your school for awareness about PPC 2023. 

4. Keep reminding the parents, teachers and students through what'sapp messages in their groups, discussions in school assembly and through message boards in class rooms.

5. Ask them to complete this activity within this week not waiting until last date. 

I hope with all your motivation all parents, teachers and students of target group will participate and avail this opportunity.

CBSE READING CHALLENGE 2022-2023

CBSE Reading challenge for the academic session 2022-2023 would be organized in the months of November 2022

Details of the CBSE Reading Challenge 

1. It is available in HINDI and /or ENGLISH at two levels : classes 6th to 7th and classes 8th to 10th.

2. This contest would engage participants with a variety of stimulants and focus on the ability to :

     * read with comprehension and accuracy;

     * construct meaning by retrieving information , relating text with their previous knowledge and                      integrating information;  

    * interpret information and draw inferences; and

    * reflect and evaluate with a view to judge the quality and credibility of text.

3. This contest would be conducted through two rounds.

4. There is no fee for participating students at any of the two stages of this enrichment activity.
